10m Christmas tree vertical

Not been on here for a while but had to comment on the fact that 10 metres is really hotting up at the moment.
So much so that I have put up a new aerial , a 'Christmas tree vertical' !
A few years ago we had a potted tree to decorate at Christmas and rather than throw it away I planted it in the corner of the garden. It is now about six metres tall so ideal for a wire 1/2 wave vertical for 28mhz.
This is fed with coax along the garden fence and into the shack. Works quite well with a CW contact with N4DR near Washington as the band was closing down.
I'm working this weekend so can't give it a full test but hopefully the good conditions will last out..

Below is matching unit with short counterpoise and coax feed.
